We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable visit to SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast. We ask all guests to behave responsibly, respect our animals, other guests and our team, and follow any instructions provided by SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast staff, security or emergency services.
What behaviour is expected during my visit?
While visiting SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast, please:
- Follow all written and verbal safety instructions from our team.
- Treat our team members and other guests with respect. Threatening, abusive, insulting or disruptive behaviour is not permitted.
- Avoid excessive noise or behaviour that could disturb our animals or other guests.
- Do not climb, sit or stand on railings, barriers or other structures.
- Do not throw objects anywhere within the attraction.
- Keep children aged 15 and under supervised by an adult aged 18 or over at all times.
- Wear appropriate clothing, including a shirt and footwear.
- Remain within designated guest areas and follow any barriers, signage or access restrictions.
Guests who do not follow our Code of Conduct or safety instructions may be refused entry or asked to leave the attraction.
What items are prohibited?
For the safety of our guests, team members and animals, the following must not be brought into SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast:
- Weapons or items that could be used as weapons
- Fireworks
- Smoke bombs
- Glass bottles
- Alcohol
- Any other item that could reasonably cause injury or create a safety risk
Guests may be asked to participate in a security check where required as a condition of entry.
Smoking and vaping are also not permitted anywhere inside SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast. Designated smoking areas are available elsewhere within The Wharf Mooloolaba precinct.
What should I do in an emergency?
If an emergency occurs during your visit:
- Remain calm and follow all instructions given by SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast team members, security personnel or emergency services.
- Follow emergency announcements, signage and directions to the appropriate exit or safe area.
- Keep children and other people in your care with you.
- If you notice an emergency, safety hazard or someone requiring urgent assistance, alert a SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast team member immediately.
- In a life-threatening emergency, contact 000 if required.
For everyone's safety, areas of the attraction may be temporarily closed or access restricted during an emergency or other operational situation.
Are assistance animals permitted?
Yes. Guide Dogs and Assistance Animals are permitted in accordance with applicable Australian legislation. We recommend contacting SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast at least two days before your visit so our team can discuss any arrangements that may be required.
